11/12/2013 - Sponsorship Update

In mid-September I received a letter from a vice-president at AGR, a Norwegian oil and gas company, who had been very generous sponsors of the Black Rock '5' in 2012 and 2013.

Sadly this informed me that they were withdrawing their support for 2014.  I of course questioned this action and wrote to the CEO of the company in the knowledge that the decision to become sponsors of the event for three years had been taken by the (since departed) CEO who came from Norway to take part in the race in 2012.   I'm sad to report that I did not receive a reply.

So all I can do now is thank AGR for their substantial generosity for the last two years and start the search for new sponsors for the future.

Keg beers will be available at The Carousel after the race.  The beers we will have on tap are

• Williams Red (4.5%)
• Birds and Bess (4.3%)
• The Juniper Tree (3.7%)
• Joker (5%)

11/6/2013 - Changes Deadline

In line with the terms and conditions sent to all entrants, the deadline for refunds and exchanges passes today. No changes to start line data will be processed as of midnight Tuesday 11th June.

9/6/2013 - Beer!

We are delighted to announce the beer selection for this year's race, supplied by our brewing partners Williams Brothers of Alloa, is:

An interesting sample of the Williams Brothers diverse range, to be enjoyed by our race finishers!

9/3/2013 - All Online Entries Taken

All online places for the Black Rock '5' Race were taken by 13:35 on Saturday 9th March.

The first 200 postal entries will be processed. Download a form and buy a stamp!

8/3/2013 - Entries Open

Online entries to the 2013 Back Rock '5' opened this evening at 19:00. 700 entries are available online with a further 200 to the first 200 postal entries received - entry forms available here on the website.

Online entries for the 2013 Black Rock '5' Race will open on Friday 8th March at 19:00.

Entry for this year's race will open at Entry Central next Friday (8/3/2013)

18/2/2013 - 2013 Race date confirmed!

The date for the 2012 Black Rock '5' race is confirmed as Friday, 21st of June with the race starting at 19:30. As in recent years, the race will be pre-entry only. Entry details will published when available.

Further details about this year's race will be announced in due course.
