Kinghorn Community Donations
The following worthy causes in our community were supported by The Black Rock '5' in 2013:
- Kinghorn Youth Club £500
- Refurbishment of Kinghorn Parish Church of Scotland Centre £500
- Kinghorn Children's Gala £500.
- Kinghorn in Bloom £500
- Julian Hall used by the Kinghorn Scout and Guide Movement £1000
- Contribution to new signage at Kinghorn Community Centre £500
- Kinghorn Lunch Club for the over-60's £500
- Kinghorn SWRI 60th Celebration Dinner donation £200
- On race night the burger stall organised by the RNLI made £888- the stall was funded with a donation of £268.66 from race funds.
- We also donated £291.33 to help fund the winter training programme for the Kinghorn Lifeboat crew.
- And finally, we also donated £500 to Burntisland First Aid Services Trust who provide our first aid cover on race night. This has been used to fund training equipment.
It is extremely satisfying to publish the above. We hope to continue our financial support to the community in 2014.
